Malaga Symphony Orchestra

Active students enrolled in modality A of the festival will have the opportunity to perform as soloists with the Malaga Symphony Orchestra. For this purpose, a selection test will be conducted, with the faculty acting as the jury.

The organization will provide an accompanying pianist for this test, and this service will have a cost of 50 euros per participant, to be paid along with the registration fee (non-refundable). If the participant has their own accompanying pianist, this amount will not be required.

Up to a maximum of nine soloists will be selected based on the level exhibited in the test by each candidate.

The rehearsal with the accompanying pianist will be on July 16 and the selection test on July 17.

The jury will, to the best of their ability, choose a diverse range of concertos for the final gala with the orchestra.

Each candidate may perform one movement from a piano concerto among the following options:

El concierto de clausura tendrá lugar en el Teatro de Las Lagunas en Mijas el día 21 de Julio y estará coorganizado por el Excmo. Ayuntamiento de Mijas y el Festival Internacional de Piano de Málaga, el cual está muy agradecido por poder realizar allí este evento.
