Malaga's wide range of infrastructures means the city can be reached by plane, train, road, or sea.Its international airport is connected to all the main European cities, and its port is a stopover on the routes of the world's most important cruise lines. It is connected by road with all the points on the Costa del Sol along the A-7 dual carriageway. Its train and bus stations are centrally located, and conveniently linked with all the other transport modes.

By car

Malaga is linked by road with the rest of the country by means of the A-45 and A-92 motorways. The A-45 connects to the A-4 (Autovía del Sur), which goes on to Madrid. The other connections and main roads in the country feed into the A-92, which runs through the whole of Andalusia. The A-45 enters Malaga through Ciudad Jardín, and continues on into the city centre. Another option is to take the east and west ring roads if your destination is in some other part of the city.

Road connections with the other population centres along the coast are on the A-7 (Autovía del Mediterráneo) motorway which runs along the whole of the coastline in the province of Malaga.
