Registration for Active Students

There are three modalities:

Enrollment A -they will receive 5 classes of 45 minutes each. They can request any teacher from the faculty. This enrollment is specially designed for students attending higher conservatories, music universities, or advanced students from professional or pre-college conservatories. Only students enrolled in modality A will have the option to participate in the selection test to perform as a soloist with the Malaga Symphony Orchestra.

Enrollment B -  they will receive 5 classes of 45 minutes each. They can request the following faculty members: Chun-Chieh Yen, Yuanxizi Li, Kathryn Page, Belén Navarro, Jorge Lechado, Antonio Ortiz, Juan Lago and Daniel Ábalos, with the option to request, if needed, only one of the 5 classes with the following teachers: Fabio Bidini, Vanessa Latarche, Eduardus Halim, and Murray McLachlan. We recommend this modality for students from professional or pre-college conservatories or younger advanced students.

Enrollment C -  They will receive 4 group classes (maximum 3 students per group) of 1 hour and 30 minutes each with the faculty. Additionally, they will attend 4 workshops of 2 hours each. This modality is aimed at younger, beginner students, and those who have been playing the piano for a few years. These students will be supervised by our faculty from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm for the four days. They can also participate in other festival activities outside the specified hours, but always accompanied by a parent or guardian.

If registration is completed before March 15, a 30 euros discount will apply. Students who have attended previous editions of FIPMA will receive a 50 euros discount (not applicable to students from C.P.M "Manuel Carra" as they have a different discount).
Students wishing to add an extra lesson with any faculty member should request it in the comments section of the online registration form. If possible, and subject to availability, the extra class will be added to their schedule.
They may also request an additional lesson after completing the registration by sending an email to the organization.
Students interested in participating must properly complete the online registration form.
Students participating in the piano competition or the selection process as a soloist with the orchestra must pay both the reservation fee and the activity fee in which they will participate.

Registration Conditions

  • Active students will receive 5 classes of 45 minutes from different professors, chosen by the students themselves during registration. The organization will try to respect their preferences to the extent possible, considering the level exhibited in the videos submitted during registration and the demand for each Professor. They will also have the opportunity to attend all masterclasses by the faculty during the festival, as well as actively participate in workshops, student concerts, and lectures.

  • All active students will have the opportunity to participate in at least one of the student concerts. The program they will perform in the concert will be proposed by the students themselves and must be approved by the teachers. For this, they should have at least one piece prepared, ranging from 5 to 10 minutes.

  • Auditing students can also attend all masterclasses, student concerts, workshops, and lectures but cannot receive classes from the faculty or actively participate in the concerts.

  • Festival students can attend all concerts in the recital series programmed during the festival.
